Tempted by Toilet Paper

The Fashion Magazine as Temptress

One package of toilet paper is all that can be bought in the stores, in order to combat the panic buyers. It was easy to relate the drapery with toilet paper because it seems the public is tempted to constantly buy up toilet paper, even if they don't need it.

Weddings in a Still Life

Two weddings in my life have been re-planned in light of Covid-19. I chose this still life so I could showcase the dried wedding bouquet in a solemn light, a symbol of halted and rearranged celebration in this great pause of life.

A Masked Descent

Three people in my immediate family are classified as essential personnel. My brother: a banker. My husband: a physical therapist assistant. My mother: an ER nurse in the only hospital in our county. I changed the birds to masks to represent them and my fear of losing any of them because of work.

Four days on average that I can go without washing my hair now that I'm staying home. Without a busy life outside the home, my hair needs significantly less washing, and when it doesn't look good, it doesn't matter. There's no need to look presentable every day anymore.

Five containers above my fridge growing vegetable seedlings. Since my husband was laid off, his time at home has been filled with reviving our vegetable garden so we can save money over the summer, as well as fill his time until he can work again.
